About Guru Karunamaya
Sri Guru Karunamaya has been practicing and teaching Sri Vidya across the world. He travels tireless spreading the sacred Vedic science of Sri Vidya.
Sri Guru Karunamaya is the founder of Soundarya Lahari, a nonprofit organization. Regular workshops are being conducted on essential life skills for people of all ages and from every walk of life. Along with this, Soundarya Lahari has worked to simplify powerful Vedic rituals, bringing them with the reach of the masses, regardless of caste, social status or religion, while also explaining their meaning and purpose.
Many unique events have been conducted such as drawing one of the world’s largest Sri Chakras measuring 67, 600 sq feet. This was done with the aim of bringing people from all walks of life together.
Soundarya Lahari is focused on the youth, helping them acquire positive attitudes, a dynamic nature, and improved communication skills thereby helping them become good and responsible citizens. The curriculum is designed to generate a happy and value-based life.
The workshops are designed to blend spirituality with practical living.

Having a living guru is a great blessing especially someone who can share, teach and tailor special spiritual practices for you life enhancement . I was given Mantra Diksha by Amritananda Saraswati in Devipuram and was told by him that he would always be there with me . In 2015 he left his body and few days later I went to Devipuram . As I was sitting down in the temple a lady teacher came up to me and said “I will come to visit you next year on the way to the US” . I smiled and thanked her…..Then I met Guru Karunamaya. Specific mantras were give to me which increased my mind clarity and approach toward life. As a big devotee of Lord MURUGA he even helped me and emailed me a specific way to conduct the Shatru Samhara Homa in an easy and methodical way. He even entrusted me with spreading the knowledge in Malaysia. We did the first Sri Chakra Pooja in Malaysia in December 2016. We drew a 15 x 15 feet Sri Chakra and did a Saraswati Homa with about 100 student in a city called ipoh in Malaysia. This was followed by workshops in Kuala Lumpur and in Ipoh we did a Mahapratinga Homa with 25 Kilos of Chilies.
